The Microsoft exchange server administrator has prohibited archiving items

Hello All,

one of the user getting the following error in the outlook.

"The Microsoft exchange server administrator has prohibited archiving items"

user is in office 365, having E3 license. archive is not enabled in office 365 end.

Please help.

Hi Dhandapani,

Please check if you can drag or copy a message from Outlook to the desktop or a folder in Windows. If you are also unable to move or copy messages, please check if the following registry value has been applied (16.0 for Outlook 2016 and 15.0 for Outlook 2013):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\

• or -
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\

REG_MULTI_SZ: DisableCopyToFileSystem

Value: *, or a specified domain

If there is this registry key, please remove it to check if the issue can be fixed.
