in NPS 2008, what is the difference between "Windows Groups" and "user Group"s in a network policy conditions ?

Hi John,

 

In the network policy conditions, we use Groups conditions to specify which user or computer groups to apply the network policy when group members attempt to connect to the network. If one member fit the groups conditions, the network policy will compare the connection request with all rules, to determine the request is accept or not.

 

For group conditions, there are three types of it:

 

Ÿ   Windows Groups

Specifies that the connecting user or computer must belong to one of the specified groups.

 

Ÿ   Machine Groups

Specifies that the connecting computer must belong to one of the specified groups.

 

Ÿ   User Groups

Specifies that the connection user must belong to one of the specified groups.
