Question

Thursday, June 20, 2019 6:23 AM

Hi guys,

I have been looking around for this solution last few days, tried all the solutions but they didn't work for me. Is there any other way to fix this issue?

I connected Mycloud EX2 Utlra, I can see mycloudex2ulra under Network in file explorer, but when i click on it, it popup "Windows can't access \mycloudex2ultra"

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for posting in this forum.

Have you tried enabling SMBv1 on Windows 10?

How to detect, enable and disable SMBv1, SMBv2, and SMBv3 in Windows and Windows Server

Best Regards,

Leon

Hi Leon,

Yes, I enabled it already, but doesn't work.

I enabled Netbios over TCP/IP, SMBv1/2/3, Network Discovery and file sharing

Thanks

Hi,

Do these on your Windows 10:

Reproduce your problem first, then go to Event Viewer->Applications and Services Logs->Microsoft->Windows->SMBClient, then check logs here.

Best Regards,

Leon

Hi Leon,

I can't post image atm.

There is warning message:

SMB1 negotiate response received from remote device when SMB1 cannot be negotiated by the local computer.

Dialect: The reason is not specified

 Server name: 14

 Guidance:
The client has SMB1 disabled or uninstalled. For more information: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=852747.

Hi,

Run PowerShell as administrator on this machine and then run the following command:

Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName smb1protocol

Then check if you can access the share.

Best Regards,

Leon

Hi Leon,

it doesn't work:(

Friday, June 21, 2019 7:50 AM

i have got this under connective:

Failed to establish a network connection.

Error: {Device Timeout}
The specified I/O operation on %hs was not completed before the time-out period expired.

Server name: MYCLOUDEX2ULTRA
Server address: 192.168.0.32:445
Instance name: \Device\LanmanRedirector
Connection type: Wsk

Guidance:
This indicates a problem with the underlying network or transport, such as with TCP/IP, and not with SMB. A firewall that blocks TCP port 445, or TCP port 5445 when using an iWARP RDMA adapter, can also cause this issue.

Hi,

Is there a firewall and anti-virus software running on this computer? If so, please disable them.

Hi,

Run this command( netstat -ano | find "445" ) in CMD to check if port 445 is enabled.
