I work in an enterprise environment with locked down public kiosks that absolutely cannot have ANY right click. We are migrating to Windows 10 and I cannot figure out why Microsoft has not provided a GPO yet to disable the Win X menu (right click) for the Start Menu?
There must be a reg key that disables this somewhere.
Clearing the folder is NOT an option. We need NO right click at all. As the folder is in the users profile, they have full write access to it (even if we hide it) and with Windows Updates like 1607 to 1703, the profile "rebuilds" with the default settings.
Note we have used Applocker to PREVENT access to the Windows Shell Experience to disable the Start Menu and that worked amazingly well but that annoying Win X menu in the right click is still there.

Hi lforbes,As far as I know, you could check the related registry below.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellCompatibility\InboxApp
Disable Windows+Keyboard shortcuts
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Please refer to the link below about lockdown Right-Click Start Menu.
Hope it will be helpful to you

We have those set for Windows 7 and they work fine. The do NOT block the Win-X menu in Windows 10. Currently Google and Microsoft have no reg key that affects this menu.
I was able to disable it by creating a Group Policy Preference for Folders to delete the entire contents of %userprofile% AppData Location where the winx shortcuts are stored.
It is the most HOKEY way to do it but it does work. I might open a Microsoft Premiere call and get them to add a group policy. Kind of silly they missed it.
