I'm trying to export a huge list of printers from a Print Cluster using 2003 to a file. I'm doing it from the Print Management Screen in 2008 r2.
The problem is... every time, it hangs on the same file: Print Processor HPCPP091, Windows NT x86, hpcpp091.dll.
Are there any ways to get around this? Preferably ones that have me touch the 2003 box as little as possible. I'm in charge of the 2008 R2 machine and have admin access to that and the Clustered 2003 machine, but the Cluster is someone else's responsibility, and I frankly I consider the fact that it's still running to be slightly more amazing than that light bulb in Texas that's been on for 100 years.
I don't suppose there's a way for me to export only the printers and their information? The "export printer list" doesn't have all the metadata in it, so even a powershell script would be incomplete.
Thoughts?

Use \windows\system32\spool\tools\printbrm.exe with the NOBIN option (no binaries). You will need to preinstall 64bit print drivers that use the same name as the ones hosted by the 2003 cluster, but you will get printers. FYI some binaries are copied but not the primary print drivers. I'd expect a 25 to 50 mb backup.

Okay, so, after reading that other thread with an export to file issue, I went back and checked, and sure enough, windows\system32\spool\drivers was 5.28 Gigs. Now, obviously this is a problem, but it's not my server, so I don't have the authority to do it, but he's been out sick for a while, and at this point I'm pretty sure I'll see a live Yeti before I'll see him to get him to do it.

Thank you very much, that was exactly what I needed.
I must admit that CLI is my Kryptonite. I've never understood why the GUI doesn't have the exact same functionality, and personally, it's 2012, so I'm still hoping the next version of Server uses that interface from Minority Report.
:D
As an aside note, the link for the Syntax for the printbrm.exe tool is here:
