Question

Hi All,
I have a drive with all BitLocker partitions. I have upgraded my drive with a bigger one an now I need to resize the first partition (OS).
There is free space at the end of my disc, so I can extend the last BitLocker partition, but I need to resize the first one and isn't possible.
I started the gparted CD but it can't move BitLocker partitions.
Do you have any suggestion to resize the first partition without disabling BitLocker (also with commercial software if needed)?
Thanks

Hi,
I think you are referring to this link:

Note: This is a third-party link and we do not have any guarantees on this website. And Microsoft does not make any guarantees about the content.
In addition, no matter which partition manager you take, you should also disable BitLocker at first.
Hope above information can help you.

I had to disable BitLocker then I tried to use Partition Expert and gparted to resize partitions but they failed.
So I have deleted the middle partition (old system recovery partition) and then I was able to resize the OS partition with the Windows disk management tool

You have to turn off Bitlocker first.
- Navigate to Control panel / system and security / BitLocker Drive Encryption;
- Click Turn Off BitLocker > Decrypt Drive;
- Run Partition Expert, click a source partition with enough unused space;
- Resize/Move Volume on this partition, and drag the handle to create unallocated space;
- Click Target partition, and extend it with Resize/Move Volume function;
- OK and Commit in the first window;
- BitLocker the partition and encrypt it again.
