Question

Everytime I log into my computer it asks me to set up a pin for windows hello. I have to click set up pin then cancel so that I have the option to then cancel the request. Sometimes it will ask me 3 or 4 times to set up a pin. The option to skip only appears after you press accept and then cancel. It also has no option for 'never ask again'. This happens everytime I log into the computer. If I go to Sign In options, its says "Windows Hello is not available on this machine", so I can't set up or disable it.
I do not want to use Windows Hello. How do I disable it permanently?
Please help. It's only been 2 days since I updated and this thing is really starting to annoy me.

Hello is part of the facility for login with fingerprint or face recognition. It requires the PIN as an alternative login if those stop working. When I updated I declined the fingerprint etc option and that also avoids Hello.

Thanks. I declined all the options after it updated as well, but it keeps trying to get me to sign up to windows hello. How can i disable it completely so that it stops asking me to set up windows hello?

I am having the same problem. Help. I want to disable the Windows Hello window that keeps trying to get me to set up a PIN or use facial recognition. I am happy with my password. I don't want to get stuck with another PIN (which is really just another password.) Any suggestions?

Any luck yet on stopping it? I also don't like how it keeps asking me for my face and forcing a pin.

I'm having the same problem but mine goes a step further. I was going to log in to Windows Hello just to have the option of removing it from the system once it is established, but it is saying "Your organization requires the use of Windows Hello", but will not accept my Microsoft Account related email. I don't know what other email to even try at this point. My computer is older and does not have the option of a fingerprint scanner (and I don't want that nonsense). I just want to be able to use my basic pin and password, which this stupid Windows Hello is not allowing.

Not sure if this is the same for your version of windows, we use Windows 10 LTSC 2019 but:
Left click Start > Settings > Apps >
on the right under Apps & Features > Manage optional Features
Scroll through the list: do you see "Windows Hello Face" if you do then Click on it.
Select Uninstall
reboot

*UPDATE* ALL OK for now.....was able to finally use my Microsoft password. Hello Windows hasn't YET returned....
Hi,
I was using our (Dell) laptop, which we've had for around 18mths and smack bang in the middle of something this Hello Windows rubbish came up. It won't allow me to do ANYTHING other than sign up!!We don't even have facial recognition or fingerprint as a feature on our laptop.
I turned the laptop on and off but it instantly comes up with this screen. I can't even go to Start > Settings > Apps !!!!
Where the heck did this app even come from??? Very frustrated and annoyed. Help anyone please. My laptop is being held ransom to this stupid app.
Thank you..... Have had to send this help message on my computer at work.
