Question

I have created a new Server 2012 Datacenter VM in our Azure, added it to the domain (have a separate VM as DC), installed Remote Desktop Services role and IIS role and everything was working well.
Until when after adding 2 data disks and changing the size of VM one up (from A1 to A2) I can no longer connect to the VM via my RDP. When connecting as the domain admin I get "An authentication error has occurred. The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted. Remote computer xxx.cloudapp.net." When I try as local admin I get "This computer can't connect to the remote computer. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator"
On the portal both the VM and its Cloud Service are Running. I have checked if any of the public ports have changed but they are fine. Also, I am unable to ping this VM anymore within the Virtual Network.
Any ideas for troubleshooting greatly appreciated

Hi Andy,
Sorry that resizing your VM has broke your RDP connectivity.
We had a similar case in the past where resizing the VM again has fixed the issue. Can you try resizing the VM back to A1 and see if you are able to RDP?
Resizing your VM will move you to a new HOST and different NIC. Since you are not able to connect in a same Virtual Network I believe this might be an issue with NIC on the current HOST your Virtual machine is located on.
If the above did not work can you try doing Remote Powershell :

If you are able to Remote PowerShell that means the image might got corrupted. You might need create a support ticket with us if the resize did not fix the issue.
Best regards
Sunny

Good evening, accidentally find you and hope you can help me.
Faced with this problem on Windows Azure:
After resizing missing VM host name and the certificate thumbprint RDPanel Windows Azure shows that the virtual machine is running, but the IP address of the virtual machine is not penguasa.
Tried:
To reinstall the image VM
To restore the size V.M.
Almost tried to put almost all dimensions of the VM.ID DEPLOYED APPLICATION

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
According to your description, maybe the image got corrupt. Can you remote powershell into that VM? If not, maybe it is not appropriate for us to troubleshooting this kind of issue in the forum, I recommend you to contact Windows Azure support by creating a support ticket at the link below:
