Question

Hi,
I have a resource-group in northeurope with several virtual machines. Today I had problems starting some of them (they stuck in Updating Status for a long time), and this evening trying to stop all of them, 8 are still in "Deallocating" status after 1 hour. Any idea how I can stopped them?

Thanks for bringing this up Gabriel. I took a look around but I am not seeing any known issues for that area impacting Virtual Machines.
If you check the metrics tab of your VMs do they appear to still be on? I am wondering if the portal is lagging behind for some reason. Also, can you check the Boot Diagnostics tab of the VMs? This should allow you to get a screenshot of the VM. It is possible they are applying windows updates which is why they are taking so long.

In the metrics tab there is no CPU activity for example,
And in the Boot Diagnostics tab I just see the lock screen
Its being more than 3 hours now with the 8 VMs still in Deallocating status

Very odd.... Can you email me at [email protected] and provide me with your Subscription ID, Names and resource groups of the VMs in question and the link to this thread?
I can take a look on the backend to see if I can tell what is going on.
