Question

Hi all
My system is a Dell XPS13 9350 with a 1TB Samsung 960 EVO PCIe SSD
Since the upgrade to Windows 10 1709 it shows a yellow exclamation mark for the Standard SATA AHCI Controller entry in Device Manager.
The error message is
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
An I/O adapter hardware error has occurred
The controller is listed as: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D03&SUBSYS_07041028&REV_21\3&11583659&0&B8
The installed driver is 10.0.16299.15, provided by Microsoft, dated 6/21/2006. "Update Driver" reports that this is to be the most recent driver.
Dell has replaced the motherboard on my XPS13 9350, but the error still remains. So it seems to me a hardware issue is not the likely cause.
Is this a known issue?

I had the same issue.
The drive missing is for the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Management Console.
Here is the link from Dell's website (for possibly a different model):

Hope this helps!

Download the latest drivers here and check result, especially SSD and SATA related drivers.

Thanks Teemo
I have reinstalled all the Dell Drivers, however without any success.
I have also done a clean reinstall of Windows 10 1709 and done all the updates, without any success.
The error message remains.

Okay, since you have clean install 1709 and reinstall all Dell drivers, what you can do on system side have been done, let's wait for update that come from Dell and Microsoft.

THANK YOU, Deuxy
This was indeed the issue. The yellow triangle is gone and everything is back to normal.
