Once I've created a hierarchy in OneNote, is there any way I can collapse all or expand all in a single click, or am I destined to have to click more than 100 [+] when I want to see everything? Thanks.

Hi,
Do you mean you want to expand all collapsed outlines by single click? If so, we can use Alt + Shift + 0 to expand all levels in OneNote. Some related keyboard shortcut key are listed below:
Show through Level 1. |
ALT+SHIFT+1 |
Expand to Level 2. |
ALT+SHIFT+2 |
Expand to Level 3. |
ALT+SHIFT+3 |
Expand to Level 4. |
ALT+SHIFT+4 |
Expand to Level 5. |
ALT+SHIFT+5 |
Expand to Level 6. |
ALT+SHIFT+6 |
Expand to Level 7. |
ALT+SHIFT+7 |
Expand to Level 8. |
ALT+SHIFT+8 |
Expand to Level 9. |
ALT+SHIFT+9 |
Expand all levels. |
ALT+SHIFT+0 |
Increase indent by one level. |
TAB |
Decrease indent by one level. |
SHIFT+TAB |
Expand a collapsed outline. |
ALT+SHIFT+PLUS SIGN |
Collapse an expanded outline. |
ALT+SHIFT+MINUS SIGN |
Hope this helps.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

My guess is that the person is not talking about expanding an outline, but expanding the pages that are created under each tab in a notebook. There are two levels of nesting available below the main page level.
I don't think there is any way to expand or collapse them all with a shortcut key combo, but a workaround is to select the top page, then scroll to the bottom page and select it while holding down the shift key to select everything. Then right click one of the pages to select "Expand Subpages" or "Collapse Subpages." That will expand or collapse all the pages.

Thanks Steve I had the same question as the question as BabyDinosaur and your answer was helpful.
But I´d like to collapse and uncollapse all sections on an entire page, is there a shortcut for that?
