Question

Hi,
I got new request which I have cannot find answer to it. Management wants to deploy a Free App from Windows Store to all Windows 10 machine in our company and there is no download source available on vendor's site. I tried to download it from Microsoft Store but instead it just got installed and nothing in Temp to trace back.. nothing in add/remove program to trace the source from local machine. I wonder if anyone has done this before and share their experience on how to download (not install) from Microsoft Store so I could package up and deploy to our systems via SCCM.
Thank you in Advance.

Same way you deploy anything from the Windows Store -- by integrating with Windows Store for Business.

That's up to the vendor, not Microsoft or ConfigMgr. Store apps can only be deployed from the store by design.

Hi IHunzai,
You could refer to the following article to get the method to access the Free App installation file downloaded by Microsoft store.
https://www.maketecheasier.com/access-windowsapps-folder-windows-10/
In addition, you can refer to the "Distribute offline apps" way.

Hope it helpful.
Best regards,
Rambo

I am running current branch (1802) and could not find forum for "Current Branch - Application Management" so I post it here.
The forum is here.

Jason, I guess that is perfect but unfortunately I am not able to locate "Application" tab to create Web API in Azure as mentioned in your link and not sure if I am missing anything to be able to see Application tab?

Hello Rambo,
Thank you for the information and I guess I was looking for Web API to integrate with SCCM in order to deploy Apps from Windows Store for Business. I am still struggling to create Web API from Azure to integrate it.

Well, this is 2012 forum so are you running ConfigMgr 2012? If so, ConfigMgr 2012 doesn't support Win 10 anyway and you've got a bigger challenge initially: getting up to Current Branch.

I would need to be Global Administrator on Azure AD to be able to see "Application" tab and create new Web API. Waiting on our Azure Admin to configure my account to see if I could complete my Azure integration with SCCM.

This blog is good for CB 1706 or older. I am running 1802 and it does not need any configuration on Azure AD outside of SCCM because CM now has built-in wizard that creates Web API directly from console as long as one has global admin permission on Azure AD. The only manual configuration required is to Add Management Tool on MSfB portal under Settings --> Distribute tab. The issue now has been resolved. See below for details.
