Hi,

I can't access users mail box withing ECP, it comes up with the below error. I had a server corruption and require a dirty restore, then I run essutil /p. but still not luck. I can create new fresh user and that works fine, but I can't access a previous user.

Thanks in advance.

Check permission of that mailbox.

If permission had been mission, delegate that to you

What happens when you run eseutil /p, i.e. does the process complete without issue or is there a failure

Search, Recover, Export Mailboxes, Contacts, Calendars, Tasks from ALL versions of Exchange Offline EDB's, On-Premises Exchange Databases & Office 365. Export, Migrate/Recover into On-Premises Exchange Server, Office 365 with Lucid8's DigiScope

So sounds to me like its an Active Directory Issue.  With that in mind

1. Check out this article http://techgenix.com/exchange-install-error-database-mandatory-usermailbox/

2. I suspect the article above will help resolve the issue, however, if not you can make an offline copy of the DB and then open it with DigiScope to see if the mailbox is actually there or not

Hi,

We helped you cover your domain name, please don't forget to cover your personal information next time.

What's the detailed version of your Exchange server? Please provide more information about your organization.

Are there any differences between previous users and newly created users? On different databases?

If all previous mailboxes cannot be checked from EAC? Or only the Administrator mailbox cannot be checked?

Please check HomeMDB value for problematic mailbox. Go to ADUC, right-click problematic mailbox and choose Properties. Go to Attribute Editor page and check the value of homeMDB.

You can copy this value from normal mailboxes on the same database, and replace the value for problematic mailboxes.

You can try Ontrack, Stellar Repair for Exchange or DigiScope to recover Mailboxes, Contacts, Calendars, Tasks from Exchange EDB files.

Is there any update on this thread?

Does coping HomeMDB  value from normal mailboxes on the same database work for you?
