Hi AkramiMo,

To troubleshoot the issue, we would like to confirm the following information:

1.Whether the word document has password protected?

2.Are all documents giving the same error?

3.Copy the information to a new document and verify if the issue still persists.

Best regards,

Julie

Dear Julie,

Thank you very much!

1. The Word Document is not password protected.

2. When the number of the users goes up from 3 user at the same time then it gives that error for all users.

3. Sorry did not help.

FYI:

We have some external users which they are invited as guest and using their personal emails and some of them uses Word Document in online browser and some of them uses in App and we in our office we mapped the sharepoint sometimes we open the document from SharePoint mapped drive and some time in the browser. Devices used in this realtime communications win7,win10 mac and locaction USA and EU.

What is your recommandation should we change our subscription from Office 365 Business Essentials?

Best Regards,

AkramiMo

Hi AkramiMo,

Sorry for delayed reply.

From your description, users co-authoring in office online, office client.

And according to this thread, if two employees had two versions of Microsoft Upload Center but only one(the newest) version of Office would cause the issue,  remove the older version of Microsoft Upload Center and clearing the Upload Center Cache fixed this issue completely.

Best regards,

Julie
