Hi,
I'm installing sharepoint 2010 rtm (en_sharepoint+server_2010_x64_dvd_518634.iso), on the pre-install checklist I'm having a hard time getting the Microsoft Filter Pack 2.0 satisfied.
I downloaded and installed the filter pack (ref http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262485(office.14).aspx, which lists Microsoft Filter Pack 2.0 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=166504)
.
When I install this it says on the download screen it's version 2, but the installer says version 1.
I found and installed this one as well, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=49429f87-212c-4dd7-b2fa-c72837a6746b&displaylang=en
still not passing the pre-requisite check.
message text is: windows server features or role services required by this product are not enabled. for a complete list, refer to the link below. - this product requires Microsoft Filter Pack 2.0.
Don't see this on roles and features...anyone know what I'm missing?
Thx,
S'

The filter pack bits is inside prerequisiteinstaller folder on SharePoint 2010 server image. You don't need to download it.

The real name of "Microsoft Filter Pack 2.0" is "Microsoft Office 2010 Filter Pack"
You can download it here : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=5cd4dcd7-d3e6-4970-875e-aba93459fbee

Jie Li,
Can you report that the URL for the SP2010 pre-reqs setup points to "Microsoft Filter Pack 2.0" but takes you to a 1.0 download? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288751(office.14).aspx.

I searched the net for it too and couldn't find anything called "Microsoft Fitler Pack 2"...found version 1 but that didn't do the trick.
I note in the installer might spare people some grief.
