Hi All,

I am using SharePoint 2010 publishing approval workflow for all document libraries in my web application.Recently my network support team enforced a security criteria in web config and they set the

  1. <httpCookies httpOnlyCookies=”True” />

After this settings change, i am not able to publish any workflows or anything related to infopath is giving the below error message,

The form cannot be displayed in browser because the use of session cookies has been disabled in the current browser settings,In order to load the form session cookies must be allowed.

Can any body guide me on fixing this without modifying the httpOnlyCookies property. If ther's no way, can you share any reply from Microsoft that httpOnlyCookies must be disabled inorder for the infopath to work.

Please help.

Thank You,

Sreejith

Hi Sreejith,

This issue might occur because of

You have any ‘_’ characters in host names. e.g. form_test.com . Remove  '_' in case you have it so the form becomes formtest.com

**“HTTPOnlyCookies” attribute has to be False in Web Config file.  **

Also, please try the following :

Change IE setting to “always allow session cookies”. from Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Tab > Advanced.

Add Site URL to Compatibility View List. from Tools > Compatibility View Settings.

Add Site URL to Local Intranet Sites.from Tools > Security > Local Intranet.

Clear cache and cookies. from Tools > Internet Options > General > Browsing History > Delete.

Turn off Pop-up Blockers. from Tools > Pop-up Blockers > Turn off.

Try to access the form on different machines and browsers.

You can point your IT team to the below link as well

Hi Kailas,

Thank you for detailing the various options to try out.I had tried the other options ie changing settings in IE level and all but it didn't work.

Can we have any authorized blogs from Microsoft describing the dependency of Session cookies and Infopath forms

Hello Sreejith,

Were you able to find a solution for making the SP publishing approval workflow work without changing the httpCookies httpOnlyCookies=”True” setting in my config file. I have an identical issue and could not reach a solution so far.

Appreciate your help

Iman
