Creating multiple Forms from one list - possible?

Question

Wednesday, August 7, 2013 11:21 AM

I have a large list in Sharepoint, of which I have created multiple views from it. However, it appears I am only able to have one single form attached to the list. This is rather annoying if I want to edit info in one of the views I have to it via the datasheet or standard view, as the one form relates to only one of the views.

Any help would be most welcome. BTW I am familiar with Infopath but not Sharepoint Designer.

You can create multiple forms using SharePoint Designer.

See this article. It is for SharePoint Designer 2010, but also applies to 2013 with the exception that you wonºt have the Design view, only Code view.

You can create multiple content types.  Then, each content type can have its own set of fields and its own form.  Check out this blog post I wrote a while back about how to do this.  It was done in 2007, but the same concept applies in 2010 and 2013.

Hi. The link no longer works. Would you be able to provide an updated link? I would love to see this solution.
