Question

Hi,
I'm currently setting up DNS Scavenging on our infrastructure.
I read the article "Don't be afraid of DNS Scavenging. Just be patient" which explains DNS Scavenging in detail.
My question is what are the recommended settings for following?
- No-Refresh Interval
- Refresh Interval
- Enable automatic scavenging of stale records
Is it recommended to keep the default settings which is 7 days?

Hi MacOverMatter,
Also, please note, it is recommended to configure No-refresh Interval and Refresh Interval settings being less than the DHCP Lease Period.
For details, please refer to How DNS Scavenging and the DHCP Lease Duration Relate.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
It depends on your infrastructure and ideal value would be 7 days. If you keep all of them as 7 days, a stale record would get deleted in 21 days.
