Hi,
I was able to use my scanner "dr 140 scanner" couple times then went to use it again and get this error message
Erorr :: cannot use driver. confirm whether or not another application is using it 80ff0003

Open Device Manager > Locate Scanner > Select and Uninstall > Reboot
Download and install the latest scanner driver as well as application from the support site of the manufacturer which is compatible with your model and OS as well.

Hi,
Try to uninstall the scanner driver in device maneger, then download the latest version from the following:
Run Troubleshooter: Open settings-> Update& security-> troubleshoot-> printer-> Run the troubleshooter
