Hello,
windows 10 x64
Im trying to block the roxio burn.exe from a user running it. i tryied editing the reg but it doesnt work. using
computer\Hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer
in explorer added 32bit word added DisallowRun (set to 1)
then added key in explorer called DisallowRun
then in DisallowRun added
value_string - 1
and typed in "Roxio Burn.exe"
Ive tried it with calc.exe and various other programs they still execute after restart.
have use GP editor to do the same and it doesnt work either.
any ideas.
Thanks, Matt

I think i know what the problem might have been. i was restarting the computer and trying force gpudate and nothing was happening. i shut down and came in the next morning and it worked. im guessing a full shutdown has to take place? not sure but its working now without any changes to registry.
