Event ID 1063 - There are no IP addresses available for lease in the scope or superscope

Question

Hi all,

A IP scope on my DHCP server is showing as all the IP addresses are being used. If I go to that scope statistics, it is showing that there are 110 addresses in the IP range, and that all 110 are being used.  However, if I go to the address lease section, there are only about 30 addresses showing that are currently being leased out. There are none in the reservation section either.

What might be going on here? Is there a way I can see all the leased addresses and clean up unused ones?

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you clicked Refresh to update the statistics?

Also, what version of Windows Server are you running?

Thanks,

Sorry for the late response.. Yes, I have clicked refresh, and it is a windows 2008 R2 server.

Also, it is not just a problem on the DHCP server, whenever I plug a new computer into our network it will not find a new IP address unless I disable and re-enable the connection to get it to try and pull an IP multiple times.. It will eventually get an IP to use, but it takes a while.

Thanks
