Question

When you are typing a text and copy paste certain portion of the text in your WORD document, the paste icon (as shown below) appears on the text and it remains there until you close the document. I'm using Office 2016 professional. If I remember correctly, I think in the previous versions I could get rid of the icon by clicking on the Save button. But now it does not happen and sometimes it's quite annoying to me since the icon hides the text I want to read. Question: How can I make the icon disappear after I am done pasting. It's ok if it remains open for few seconds but not forever.

Hi Nam,
Usually, when you type a new word after pasting in Word, the Paste Option button automatically disappears and will never show up again. You can try it, see if it's so.
If you do not want to see the Paste Option button after pasting, it is easy to achieve. Follow these steps below:
1.In Office 2016, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, there is a Paste button. Click Set Default Paste in the drop-down menu.
2.in Word Options Window, On Advanced Tab, slide the mouse down to find Cut, copy, and paste, remove the tick to disable Show Paste Options button When content is pasted, click OK at last.

Wish you have a good mood every day.
