FailoverCluster-Client error with event 81

Question

Tuesday, April 23, 2019 9:37 PM

I have a new Windows 2019 Server.  I have not installed any failover clustering features, but yet I am getting several Event Id 81 errors each minute.

Any ideas what would cause this or how I can eliminate?  Thanks.

Hi,

I saw some post about some Windows update that was installed and starting to cause these errors, did you double check that you haven't got any Failover Clustering features installed?

Best regards,
Leon

This has been recorded with the Acronis backup software (but was fixed in update 4) as mentioned in Frank's link.

Since you said you mentioned that you don't have Acronis installed, it might be a bug, you could provide feedback about it over here:
