HI,
my windows 10 pro notebook has turned on bitlocker. The windows crashed today, error as per following:
Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We'll restart for you. Stop Code: NTFS file System.
I tried windows reset or factory recovery, but can't, i guessed might due to the drive is encrypted with bitlocker. i have the recovery key, and i have keyed in, but system just not proceed for recovery or reset windows.
I would like to check can i straight to format the bitlocker enabled notebook with windows 10 cd ?

Hi,
Could you boot into Safe Mode? Try the following methods:
Method 1: Run Startup Repair
1. Put the installation media into your computer, then boot your computer from the media.
2. Select the language and region.
3. Click Repair your computer.
4. Select Troubleshoot.
5. Select Startup Repair.
6. Select Windows 10.
7. After the Startup Repair complete, restart your computer and see if it resolves your problem.
Method 2: Use Command Prompt to fix the problem
1. Put the installation media into your computer, then boot your computer from the media.
2. Select the language and region.
3. Click Repair your computer.
4. Select Troubleshoot.
5. Select Command Prompt.
6. Type the following lines in Command Prompt and press Enter on your computer after each.
sfc /scannow
chkdsk c: /f /r
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
7. Wait for the scans to complete. Then exit Command Prompt.
8. Restart your computer and see if it fixes the issue.

Non of this works if the drive in encrypted with bitlocker. The answer should tell us how to unlocked the drive first, then how to preform these troubleshooting steps.

In fact the method 2 should work because command prompt will detect the bitlocker encryption and will ask for the key.
If it does not...
