in vb 2017 is a option to add a Editor Find & Replace for more lines together

from the Tools menu

get tools and Features  - it opens a big list of  Features

now in vb 2019 it is missing

Hi,

Welcome to MSDN forum.

Did you install Multiline Search and Replace extension in visual studio 2017?

You can check it in your side by going to Tools->extensions and updates

After installing it in visual studio 2017, a new Multiline Find/Replace menu item is created under Edit - Find and Replace.

However, the extension does not work with visual studio 2019 now.

If you want Multiline Search and Replace in vs2019, try to customize search syntax by using .NET regular expressions and I believe the extension for vs2019 will be released as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Joyce

Hi

Are nyou asking about the Editor Find & Replace? If so, then Menu, Edit, Find & Replace.

Hi

I downloaded and installed VS 2019 just to find the Tools you mention. I found that both VS 2017 and VS 2019 list the same items from their Tools->Get Tools and Features
