Windows 10 Storage settings for Onedrive "remove unused cloud-backed content

Question

Hey,

I was sifting through the storage settings of Windows 10 and noticed that within Settings > System > Storage you can see an option for OneDrive "Remove unused cloud-backed content".

Since my HDD is on the small side (company notebook) I always pay some attention to what I have stored on my HDD. I'm assuming this button will remove all local files from my HDD but keep them on my Onedrive. However I was unable to find any data of this online.

Anyone with some experience in this section of Windows Settings which can elaborate on it?

Thanks in advance

Kr

Hi,

The main adjustment you can make here is for the cloud content.

If you have OneDrive content that is synced to online and also offline. But some of the folders and files are not being used for a lot of time and they are redundant. Then Storage Sense can remove unused cloud-backed content from your device.

If you want to know more about Storage Sense, you can read it here:

Hope above information can help you.
