The Backslash (\ character is different in Korean (₩) or Japanese (¥)
Will this ever be fixed or will it be like this forever?
I notice a post about this in 2005. http://archives.miloush.net/michkap/archive/2005/09/17/469941.html
Many of our Korean and Japanese user's are complaining the backslash (\ is not correct.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum.
It will be like this forever. As operating systems moved to Unicode, you would think it would be possible for them to start using the proper symbol - but it isn't, because their keyboards don't actually produce that symbol. So, from a technical standpoint, it's a backslash, but the visuals are those of a yen/won sign.
Best regards,

Which character is on your keyboard? It may be something the vendor can answer. I have a 2017 model Korean laptop, a "Samsung 9 Always" and the character on the key is ₩. With a Korean keyboard layout it does ₩ but with a US keyboard layout it does the \ I have seen some Korean keyboards that have the \ symbol instead, but it may still tell Windows it's a Korean keyboard with ₩.

Hi BaxterJw,
I'm a Japanese and agree with hurry yang.
If your users want to display backslash (\ just as its name, change displaying Font such as "Arial", "Times New Roman", and so on (Western character set).
