Windows 10 Enterprise (2016 LTSB) - unable to update with build 1809.

Hello Microsoft,

I have a newly installed Windows 10 Enterprise (2016 LTSB) virtual machine.

I am trying to ensure the machine is fully patched up and has the current Windows 1809 update.  However, I am encountering problems trying to do install the update.

When I try to use Windows 10 Update Assistant | Click Update Now | I receive error:

Windows 10 will not run on this PC
Here is why Windows 10 can't be installed:

CPU: OK
Memory: OK
Disk Space: OK
Operating system: Contact your system administrator to upgrade Windows Server or Enterprise editions.

I've tried the 1809 ISO, but it seems limited to Windows 10 Pro. 

What are my options?  Is there a link available to download the 1809 update that will work for Windows 10 Enterprise?

Hi Rudy,

If you 1809 iso is downloaded from media creation tool, it can’t be used for Enterprise edition’s installation, only Pro edition.

Enterprise edition image can only be downloaded from VLSC and Visual Studio Subscriptions, if you want to install Windows 10 1809 Enterprise edition, you need to visit VLSC and have license to download.

Besides, we can’t upgrade LTSB 2016 to LTSC 2019 via check for updates, the only way is installation media. You need a Windows 10 1809 iso or LTSC 2019 iso.
