Generic- SD/MMC/ MS Pro USB

Hello. 

I would like to know on what the usb that I have typed into this question and what is it for and also why is it trying to connect to my windows 10 64 bit through the connections? The usb is Generic- SD/MMC/ MS pro USB? I do not know where this had came from and or why it is trying to connect to my windows desktop? If someone can give me some information on this I would greatly appreciate it.

What system is this on?

Most likely a build in card reader to laptop that does not have a specific driver installed.
