Hi all,
I'm trying to build a new cluster with two brand new server running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. When I run the validation test I get the following error:
"There was an error getting information about the organization unit for node"
I've searched the web and found this KB:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2109222
but my cluster nodes ha a netbios name shorter that 15 characters...
please help!

Hi Vincent,
I've found where the issue came from, it's not name's lenght related. I've and huge AD with several site, I'm in a new site where there are no domain controllers. Domain controllers are to be implemented as virtual machine in the Hyper-V cluster I'm building. My cluster nodes have DNS configured to point to the domain controller of the closest site but I DON'T KNOW WHY when I logon I've checked the value of %logonserver% variable and I notice that the domain controller that has authenticated me is not the one defined by DNS but an other one in an other site. So DNS records related to my cluster nodes exist only on the domain controller pointed by cluster nodes IP DNS settings but not in the DC where the cluster wizard point to!
I've waited the AD replica happens (3 hours as configured) than the wizard works fine.

Hi,
Please try to rename the computer name to a short one, such as node01, node02 to see whether you get the same issue.
