I have been trying for weeks to get the task sequence to install OS (win 7) with drivers. The installation works fine both type of task sequences. Created task sequence normally thru SCCM 2012 and also created one with MDT integratede in SCCM 2012. In both cases the drivers do not install.
after checking many blogs and technet, I have tried all different combinations with negative results. The Apply Driver Packages and Auto-Apply Drivers are listed between the apply Windows settings and Setup Windows and Configuration sections.
the system is X64. After OS install found most drivers in drivers store, file respoisitory in windows system32 folder but nothing in sysWOW64 folder.
sub-folders are there but nothing is in the folders. Do not know if this an issue, but remember coming across something during research that had something mentioned about sysWOW64, but do not remember what.

Thanks Jason;
You are always right there for questions. To answer your questions - the answers are Yes to all.
In the last 30 minutes I found an article by Ben Hunter - http://msmvps.com/blogs/richardwu/archive/2010/06/02/managing-device-driver-by-system-center-configuration-manager-sccm.aspx.
I setup the task sequence as he stated and all works fine.

Have you reviewed smsts.log on a client?
Are your drivers imported into ConfigMgr?
Are you drivers in a driver package?
Is the driver package available on an accesible DP?
