Missing Xbox live networking service and Xbox live Game Save in Services.msc

Question

Sunday, December 10, 2017 3:32 PM

Bought FM7 over a month ago. Didn't have the urge to play multiplayer so haven't come across this problem before. If I want to join a lobby it says something about server connectivity problems. When I open the xbox app it shows NAT-type OPEN, but server connectivity BLOCKED. After some searching I found out that whenever I look at Services.msc, the Xbox live networking service and Xbox live Game Save thingy's aren't there. I have no idea what to do with this, so here I am asking for help.

Try to reset network at first.

Reboot computer and Restore Default Services by the following method

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/57567-restore-default-services-windows-10-a.html

If no help, reset system or execute a in-place upgrade via a clean iso image form Microsoft website.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

After reset, update system to the latest build and test again.

First of all, thank you for showing interest in my problem.

I've reset the network and tried to restore Default Services. I Opted to do this with all the Xbox Services, and when I got to Xbox-Live Game Save it mentioned the keys and values were added to the registry. (Trying to translate this from Dutch to English, so bear with me) Which I presume is a good thing.

Then tried the same with Xbox-Live Networking Services but it gave me a message 'file could not be imported because, either the keys are used by the system or a different service OR I didn't have the proper authority to do this'. I Tried this as admin so I don't think that authority was the issue here.

After restarting the PC, Xbox-Live Game Save wasn't added to the Services registry, and ofcourse, neither was Xbox-Live Networking Services. I did find something that changed, Xbox Gaming monitor (I believe that's the name). This isn't funtioning properly anymore, because I'm getting an error message saying, Can't read description, errorcode: 2. The service has been stopped, but when trying to start it again I get a different message (Can't start xbgm-service on local PC. Error 1053: Service didn't respond in correct way) Again mind the translating, could be different sentence in English.

I'm not keen on Resetting the whole system, so I'm trying to find a solution without doing that.

Hello,

Did you find any solution other than resetting windows?
