Question

DS,

We have since a month the new office365 pro.  I am one of the users with a local outlook problem.  As you start outlook; it will ask for login account, then a password and then it should start up.

But, in my case, it will come back (over and over) to the page asking for a password.  Finally, it will say there is a problem with my account,... limited access to company resources,....  and it will end outlook.

Yet, if I start outlook on internet, it will ask the same login + password and there it will function without problem.

In the logfile, I found this :

System error

Hi SkidRepsol,

>> We have since a month the new office365 pro.

Do you mean the problem has been existent since you start using Office365 Pro?

>> Finally, it will say there is a problem with my account,... limited access to company resources,....  and it will end outlook.

If possible, could you please collect the detailed error message so that we can do further research on this?

In current situation, please try repairing Office via Control Panel > Programs and features > Office 365 and see if the issue can be resolved.

It is also suggested to try clearing all entries containing Outlook via Control Panel > Credential Manager and check the result.

Any findings, feel free to post back.

Regards,

Yuki Sun

Dear Sir,

I would say been there, done that.

delete Office365, reinstall;

repair office365

delete all credentials

1 welcome to outlook / please provide email  ([email protected]) : make connection (should work automatically since it is a office365 account) you can chose manually setup, but that makes no differences.

next screen : preparing

next screen : please provide password

next screen : use this account on your device (on all applications) : grant access to admin my laptop (Y/N)

next screen : input password

next screen : oeps, something went wrong, your device can not be registered and your account can not be added to windows. Access to company sources is limited.

back to screen 3  please provide password.....

choosing for manual setup does not make any differences;

I found a similar problem on this forum, where the moderater advice to change the hosts file in system32/drivers/etc.

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1       autodiscover-s.outlook.com
# 127.0.0.1       outlook.office365.com

Does not work either.
