Cannot see 'Edit Links' on left hand menu bar

Question

Hi there,

I'm fairly new to Sharepoint and was recently working on the left hand menu bar on the front page of my site. Their were two parts to the left hand menu bar...

(1) a vertical set of links with the item 'Edit Links' at the bottom

(2) Then underneath this was another set of links titled 'Site Content' that had links such as Calendar, FAQs, Risks, under it...

My problem is, I was removing some of the links under section (1) and I seem to have completely removed everything including the actual 'Edit Links' option itself. I still have an 'Edit Links' option in the top menu bar just above the title of my page. But the 'Edit Links' on the left hand menu bar has completely vanished along with all of the links.

So on my left hand menu bar all I can see is (2)

Does anyone have any idea how i can recover the missing Edit Links on the left hand menu?

Thanks in advance.

Martin.

in the site settings, go to navigation settings.

there are two navigation called top link and quick launch.

you just edit the quick launch but not the top link.

Hi,

How did you remove the “Edit Links” on left navigation?

If this site is a sub site, please make sure that your site doesn’t inherit navigation from the parent site.

Also, please make sure that you have enough permission to edit navigation links.

By the way, you can access Site Settings > Navigation under Look and Feel to manage navigation links.

A Ha! fixed it. Thanks for the replies Justin and Dean. I had checked some of the links under Look and feel previously but couldn't find anything that helped.

I then tried Look and Feel -> Tree View today (which for some reason I had ignored previously) and the option to hide/unhide the Quick Launch was in their.

Thanks again guys :-)
