Question

Could someone point me in the right direction to uninstall Skype for Business For Office 365.
SFB is part of our golden image, but we are deprecating Skype For Business and I am looking to leverage SCCM to uninstall SFB on existing machines.
I assume first, I need to Create a install\uninstall package in SCCM with the O365 installer. Once I have that, is where I tend to not understand how to only uninstall Skype.

setup.exe /configure pathtoxml.xml
pathtoxml.xml will contain something like this:
<Add OfficeClientEdition="32"
Channel="Broad" >
<Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail">
<Language ID="en-us" />
<ExcludeApp ID="Lync" />
</Product>
</Add>

Hi,
To remove Office, do the following:
- Review the description of the Remove attribute in the ODT Reference. Create a matching uninstall.xml file and place it in the previously chosen download location.
- Navigate to Software Library > Overview > Application Management > Applications, select the just created application, switch to the Deployment Type tab and edit the Office 365 Default Deployment Type.
- Switch to the Programs tab and specify the following Uninstall Program: setup.exe /configure uninstall.xml
- Clik OK, right-click the deployment type and select Update Content. For more details, see Deploy and manage content.
You can deploy or edit the application from Software Library > Overview > Application Management > Applications.
If you've already installed Office 365 ProPlus, you can also use the ExcludeApp element to remove an application that you've previously installed. For example, the following configuration file removes Skype for Business (use Lync) from the previous installation of Office.
<Add SourcePath="\\Server\share" Version="15.1.2.3" OfficeClientEdition="32">
<Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail" >
<Language ID="en-us" />
<ExcludeApp ID="Lync" />
</Product>
</Add>
Please refer to the following article for more details:

Larry

Hoping to find time this weekend to work on your suggestion. I thought we already had an O365 Application package, however I have learned that we do not. They have just been putting O365 baked into the golden image.
So first I need to create an application package like I'm going to deploy O365, and then I can create the uninstall.

Hi Larry,
I am working with DMobley on this issue, and had a quick question. Would it be required to create an uninstall XML for each version of Skype in our environment, or is there a switch that would allow the current XML file to include all relevant versions of SFB?
I have been testing the uninstall of SFB using your example above, and have had no luck. It was altered to the appropriate version and edition of SFB on the test box. After a restart, the Office configurator pops up momentarily, goes away, and Skype is still haunting me. Please let me know if there are any screenshots or other examples you may need to help us clarify our process, and get this moving.
Thanks!
