Question

Hello,
Today I was on my computer, I was reading an email. All of a sudden, I heard a dialling tone from my speakers. Then I checked other browser tabs to see if there was a video playing or not. I couldn't find anything. Then I continued to surfing and reading stuff on my PC. Then again I heard the same noise. And it was exactly the same as the first one. Additionally months ago I have faced with this problem too. I don't have any idea what causes but it's thrilling, I feel like hacked. But I check my computer daily for viruses, worms etc. I can assure you there is no virus. In fact my PC is new I bought it 3-4 months ago. It is ASUS TUF Gaming FX504 Series, and I am using Win10.
If you help me I would be very pleased.
Thank you.

does the system freeze or slow down when you hear the noise?

Hi InfoSysEngineer,
Do you have a phone or a MODEM in your computer?
If not, a dialing tone perhaps comes from some software. In this case, you have to specify what it is.
e.g. run TaskManager and see what applications are running, and run Services and check if some strange services are running.

Hi,
Is Skype for business installed on your computer? If so, please close it and then check if the issue occurs again.
Also, we can run clean boot to see if any third party apps cause the issue:
