I am running Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3. I would like it to sleep when I close the cover, but when I go to Power settings in the Control Panel and select Choose what closing the lid does, both options (for battery and plugged in) are grayed out. The only reference I could find for a fix was to turn off Fast Startup by going to Power Options, choosing what the lid does, select Change settings that are currently unavailable, scrolling down and unchecking the box that reads Turn on fast startup. No joy.
Might there be a GPO controlling this or am I missing a setting somewhere?

mt,
Check computer configuration>policies>Admin Templates>System>power management>Button Settings>"select the lid switch action"
Maybe you need Surface forum to seek help.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, they didn't address the issue. Any other suggestions? Anything to look for in GPOs? I am subject to a few, but the company I work for doesn't really know what many of their GPOs are doing.
Thanks.
