Question

I am doing some trouble shooting, and writing a script. I want to see the event logs were the service restarts, for possible options, and testing. I know I have seen it before (I used to use it as a secondary computer restart check), but I can't find it. Do I have to turn the logging of services on or something?

In Start Search type eventvwr.msc and hit the Enter key.
Select > Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > PrintService
The PrintService folder contains administrative and operational controls for print services in Windows.
Right-click "Operational" and then select "Enable Log."

Hi,
When it comes to PrintService Event Log, it includes both an Admin and an Operational log. The Admin log is enabled by default, but the Operational log is not.
To enable the Operational Log, please follow below steps:
- Open Event Viewer
- Expand Application and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\PrintService.
- Right-click Operational and choose Enable Log.
Also share you a bit more details for the event ID explanation when you troubleshoot the print spooler log:
