We are in Windows 10 Pro Version 1803
We set up the registry
Windows Registry Editor
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"DefaultUserName"="USERNAME"
"DefaultDomainName"="DOMAIN"
"DefaultPassword"="PASSWORD"
"AutoAdminLogon"="1"
However when computer reboots it goes to the logon screen and does not automatically log in.
The logon scree is different now than in the past. You now see the user listed twice the first login is so they can sign in with email and pin or their micorsoft account and the second user is the domain user login.
Has these changes made to the login for windows 10 affected the auto logon features and are there additional steps that are required.

Hello,
Try enabling auto logon via NETPLWIZ (WAY 2) here:

Microsoft has a tool to easily configure Windows’ built-in autologon mechanism, try it.
Autologon for Windows v3.10
/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autologon
Besides, use GUI to achieve Auto logon.
Type netplwiz in search box and hit Enter.
Uncheck the User must enter a user name and password to use this computer option.
Click Apply.
Type your Microsoft account (email address) or local account information, and click OK
Click OK again to complete the task.
Once you completed the steps, restart your computer, and now if you entered your credential correctly Windows 10 should automatically sign you into your account bypassing the Lock screen.
Regards

Hello,
I'm not sure if thread is still open. I have the same problem - Auto-login has worked well before I got the update to 1803. It is Win 10 Home - 64 edition.
I have tried the registry-entries, the netplwiz and the Autologon for Windows v3.10 steps. I can stil login with my user and password but auto login isn't working.
does somebody have a solution for this issue

Although not close old thread often do not get responses, so best to open a new thread really.
I just used netplwiz to set an autologin on Win 10 Home 1803, so hmm. Open a new thread with some more details, like any errors or what happens when it doesn't work. Also what account you are logging in with.

I figured it out, at least for my experience with this same issue:
If you have your login option set to PIN, well...auto login uses your windows password, as it asked you for your PASSWORD when you unchecked "require password for this user" box...
This just suddenly dawned on me....
You must have logged into windows using your password instead of PIN before you uncheck the box in netplwiz
PIN is a newer feature and isn't updated to work with auto login.
