Hi all,
I'm messaging to ask whether anyone has experimented with folder and file permissions for ReFS yet and whether the problem with renaming files when the delete permission is enabled for deny has been rectified as this is still currently an issue on NTFS. Also has the same been rectified for executing files in folders?
Kind regards,
RocknRollTim

Hi,
ReFS may appear to have some similarity to NTFS, it does not contain all the underlying NTFS features and scales efficiently to handle data sets far larger than NTFS.
Please check this link for more details:
Does ReFS repace NTFS?When should I use it?
And similar thread for your reference:
Changing from REFS to NTFS-keeping permissions intact

Hi Cartman Shen,
Thank you for your reply, the information you provided in your post was useful with regards to the file system's reliability, I'll have an experiment with the permissions on an ReFS volume and see if the permission issues I discovered with NTFS have been rectified. Thank you for your help.

P.S. I will test the permissions when I have a moment and to provide my findings in this thread.
