recover offline files after disabling.

Question

Tuesday, March 6, 2018 4:49 PM

I recently put out a GPO to disable offline files.

Eventhough our desktops our redirected to the server it looks like machines were still saving to a offline version.

After I put in play this GPO many users are saying they have old files on their desktops or have missing data from files.

How can I recover the files from the local offline files for these users?

Hi,

Please check  %SystemRoot% \CSC, in general, when you disable offline files, there are still offline files in %SystemRoot% \CSC and in shared folder in remote computer unless you delete them.

And if all shows empty, I'm afraid you may need to check if there's any backup, and recovery the files from backup.

In addition, please refer to the thread discussed before.
