Hi,
I had Office Professional Plus 2016 64 bit On-Premises installed on my Windows 10.
As soon as Office Professional 2019 64 bit On-Premises came out, I downloaded the DVD from the Visual Studio Subscription Site (we're a software development startup). The DVD's name was en_office_professional_plus_2019_x86_x64_dvd_7ea28c99.iso, Note the "2019" in its name.
I uninstalled Office Professional Plus 2016, and then ran the setup on the DVD. Of course, I used an Office 2019 key from the Visual Studio Subscription site.
Well, I just noticed that if I go into the "Account" page for any Office Product, they all say Office 2016, and not 2019. Also, in the Control Panel, the Mail applet is labeled "Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016). Also, in the Programs and Features screen, it is labeled as Office 2016.
In fact, when I thought about it, I didn't see any new features whatsoever!
I also downloaded and installed DVD's for Project Professional 2019 and Visio Professional 2019. They are both correctly labeled as Office 2019 in their Account screens, and in the Windows Programs and Features screen.
Strangely, my Office installation (2016 or 2019?), Project 2019 and Visio 2019 all show the same version information: v1810 Build 11001.20074 Click to Run
Is this my fault or Microsoft's?
I'd really appreciate help. I was about to role out Office 2019 on the other computers in our company including the CEO. And he doesn't like foul-ups at all...
TIA,
mlavie

But wait - It gets BETTER!
I decided I wasn't going to wait for suggestions, and I'd just uninstall Office (labeled as 2016 in the Programs and Features) and try again.
I noticed that as soon as I uninstalled Office "2016", instead of disappearing from the Programs and Features altogether, it suddenly changed to Office 2019.
I thought it was too good to be true. So I re-booted. But lo and behold - the splash screens were all showing 2019, the Account screens for each product were showing 2019, and the few new features did appear.
Looking back at it, I think I would have noticed by now if the Accounts screens were showing 2016, I suspect that today's Office update may have done the damage.
Well, I hope somebody else gets some benefit form this saga.
