Question
Monday, December 9, 2019 5:02 PM
I am a novice at this operation so maybe someone can direct me to a step by step process for this. I am using the remote desktop to access another computer and need to print to my local printer. I have found this process online, but it is not working for me because I have a wireless printer and it is not on a local port. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ensure that you have the Printers option selected in your Remote Desktop settings. You can check this by bringing up the Remote Desktop Connection screen, selecting Local Resources and ensuring the Printers option is selected.

Hi,
If you printer has been connected both wired or wireless to current system, once remote desktop connection has been established from current system to remote system, we can enable printer redirection to print from remote system to local/current system connected printer.
If possible, try to install the printer driver on remote system and check the result.

Printer is only wireless, not wired. Is this still possible to do or can it only be done wired? Printer drivers installed on remote system.

Hi,
In general, both locally connected and network printer are supported to be redirected via RDC.
Please check below link and confirm that if the configuration mentioned in it is helpful:
