How do I update Visual Studio 2015?

Isn't there some kind up button I can click and just say update now?

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

The latest version of VS 2015 is VS 2015 community/professional/enterprise with update 3, if you already installed the VS 2015 version, you can directly install the VS 2015 update 3 and please have a look at the following update methods:

1. Directly download the web installer or the ISO file of Visual Studio 2015 update 3 from here: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/download-visual-studio-vs, after that, run the executable file like vs2015.3.exe as administrator and it will popups the VS installer screen with VS 2015 update 3 is selected and install this update.

2. Through the installed VS 2015 version: Go to Control Panel—Programs and Features, right-click the VS 2015 item, select Change-Modify, then on the VS installer screen there should displays the option ‘Visual Studio Update 3’ like the following screenshot and check it, click ‘Next’ to install this update 3.

When you try to install this update, please make sure you already followed the installation tips as below and it will help you to excludes the unnecessary issues.

1. Make sure Windows update already up-to-date, installed all patches

2. Disable your antivirus software

3. Clean up %temp% folder

4. Run the VS installer as administrator
