I am getting a popup when I try to sign in to my Windows 10 machine to set up a PIN. I don't want to set up a PIN on my Win 10 machine. There is only option to do later or go to next screen to set up PIN. So it continues to pop up the next time which is very annoying. How do I get rid of prompt so it does not keep recurring?

If you have Windows 10 Pro, you can disable PIN code using a local policy:
Start GPEDIT.MSC
Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon
Open the Turn On PIN Sign-in
Select Disable then Ok
Then restart your computer or open an Administrative Command Prompt and type GPUPDATE /FORCE

I'm also looking to do this - I tried editing the policy setting and it made no difference. Restarting the PC still shows an un-cancellable prompt to create a PIN number.

Hi,
Did you join to a domain? Did you join to AAD?
Here are some suggestions:
1.To disable PIN setup, it is suggested to try to add PassportForWork key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft.
2.If you use Intune, we may select Disable Windows Hello for Business on enrolled devices to disable PIN setup.
