dhcpmgmt.msc not installed with RSAT for Windows 10?

Question

This appears to install all the tools except dhcpmgmt.msc?  Going in and removing the check on DHCP Server Tools under the Windows features > Remote Server Administration Tools > Role Administration tools, allowing it to finish and re-selecting does not change it nor does uninstalling update KB2693643 and reinstalling the update.  Any ideas?

Disregard...just needed to read the notes apparently...

Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 10 can be used to manage roles and features that are running on Windows Server Technical Preview, with the following exceptions:

  • DHCP Tools.  Dhcpmgmt.msc is not available in this release of RSAT, but equivalent Windows PowerShell cmdlets are available

So it's not just me. :-)

I thought I was going crazy trying to find it, but I don't have it either. It's checked as an installed option in my features, but there is no snap-in for it to add to MMC.

Why on earth is just DHCP not included? That's goofy. I hope it will be added in a later version.

It's not "just DHCP not included" - there are several tools excluded. And they all seem to be networking-related.

Now I'm sad. I had hoped that DHCP was at least combined into something else. But PowerShell Cmdlets? I have no working understanding of those. I hope that DHCP will be added in a future update.

What is the go to tool for us point and click types?

The options at the moment, seem to be these;

a) learn & use PoSH
b) use a down-version OS with older RSAT
c) use the server tools on the actual server
d) wait a while longer for MSFT to release updated RSAT (assuming they will do that)
