Initial Application Deploy Fails...Retry Successfully Installs

I am running into an issue where I'm having an application initially fail during the deploy. The error is as follows:

"The software change returned error code 0x87D01107(-2016407289)."

When I retry the installation it downloads the files locally and installs successfully.

I notice that when it fails I cannot locate the installation files in ccmcache, but when I initiate the retry it does get downloaded to the ccmcache and successfully installs.

Has anyone experienced this?

Error on my part. I made changes to the Application, but never updated the content. Once updated the deployment was successful.

What about CAS.log and LocationServices.log in both cases (failure / succes)? Any chance that someone deleted the contents from ccmcache manually (i.e. using Windows explorer etc)?

I'm the only one on the box testing deployments. I do delet it from ccmcache after it successfully deploys so I can start from fresh to simulate a new deployment on a new PC.

Nothing relevant around the time I ran the deployment. Early entries were at 09:48

Use the ConfigMgr control panel applet to delete the contents of the cache. The client is not aware of missing content if you delete it manually (as you did).
