Came back to Microsoft to give it a go just purchased Office365. With this comes 1TB of OneDrive storage. I created a folder in my OneDrive called Backups.
Backups is marked as 'Available When Online'
I tried to copy (drag/drop) a 436GB folder into my OneDrive Backups folder but get an error saying "There is not enough space one OneDrive. You need an additional 183GB to copy these files."
Confused. So should have gone for the 1 Month trial first.

Hi Matty,
Please log in the Ondrive online site OneDrive.com to make sure you have enough space now. What type client are you using? Are using OneDrive for Business?
In addition, please right-click the folder you want sync, click Properties to check the size of these files.
Please sign out of the app on your computer by clicking on the cloud on the system tray (bottom right of your desktop, where the time shows). If there is no cloud icon in the system tray, click the arrow to show the hidden icons in the system tray to see if it is there.
On the cloud icon, click the three dots, then Settings. On the Account tab choose Unlink this PC and then Unlink Account.
Then sign back in on the app to have a check. If you have any updates, feel free to post back to let us know.
Best Regards,
Herb

Hi - using less than 1 GB of 5 GB but it now gives me the no space message when I copy a One Note file from the Documents folder to a back up folder. I tried your Unlink actions as you stated... Same problem. This started about 2 or 3 months ago. I also tried these commands from another source:
In the Run dialog, paste this and hit Enter:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
Then repeat the process and paste this:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe
Then restart your PC . . .
Ideas? Thanks! Doug
