I want to add animate gif image to OneNote 2013, but when the image is added, it is static. Is there a way to let it animated?

Hi Allen,

As far as I know, there is no way to add gif images to OneNote 2013.

You can create a link to the GIF image in OneNote and then then call it with the standard player.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

Hello,

To play animated files, go to Preview/Properties window. Select animated GIF file and then on the View menu, click on Preview/Properties.

If the GIF does not play, try re-saving the animated GIF in the collection in which you want to put it. On the GIF, click the down-arrow, and then click Preview/Properties.

Hi Allen,

Sorry for the delay. What I mean is to put the GIF in your local drive, then insert a link in OneNote notebook and link to the GIF file. To insert a link in OneNote, under Insert tab, click Link.
