Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to deploy a PowerPoint Template to a few hundred machines. I've have used a GPO to change the settings for "Personal Template Folder" and added templates there so I can select it. But how do I replace the default "Blank Presentation" with that PowerPoint template (potx)?
Best Regards,
Eric

Hi Eric,
We have no way to replace this "Blank Presentation", but we can add your template as a "Default Theme" which will be placed in the first place (before the "Blank Presentation" template).
Just rename your template to "Blank.potx", then copy it to the following path:
C:\Users\UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates.
For enterprise deployment, you can copy the file via a script and deploy it as a user logon script via Group Policy. The effect is like this:

Hope this meets your requirement.

Hi, Ethan -
Looks like things have changed since you answered January 2017. AppData is no longer under UserName, nor is Microsoft/Templates under Roaming. Would you update your solution, please? MS has really hidden the folder.
Thank you!
Julie
